Kerb appeal
One of the most important parts of your house is the front door, as it’s the first thing that people see when they come to look at your house. If your front door is old and a little weathered, replacing the door can completely refresh the front of your property. Picking a bold colour, like a navy or even a bright yellow, can make your house stand out and stick in viewer’s minds, which is exactly what you want at the end of your viewing. Be wary though – make sure that you don’t go too bold, as you want to make sure that the door still fits with the rest of the house and that it doesn’t look too wild next to your neighbours.
Front garden
If you have a front garden, keeping it maintained at all times is a must. Keeping the front of the house as tidy as possible even if you don’t have any viewers due to come for a few days will benefit you; some potential buyers won’t book a viewing at first, but choose to visit themselves to see the property and the area from the outside. Making sure that you’re always ready for viewers will make sure that there’s no concern of putting them off because of an unruly hedge or overgrown grass.
Bins
Some houses will store dustbins in the front of the house as this is the only space that they have. While bins are not offensive, if you’re able to move them for your viewings to the side of the house so they’re less visible, this can be beneficial. It means that the first thing your viewers will see is the front of your home, not overflowing dustbins. This is doubly important in the summer where bins can start to get a little smelly – moving them to the side, or the back of the property if possible to keep them out of the way will let your viewers focus on your house and not the bins in front of it. www.webuyanyhouse.co.uk
