21st century craftsmanship

Many homeowners seek the technical accuracy of a contemporary product, married with the authentic craftsmanship of a more traditional material.  Solar Calibre Doors brings exactly that, with the Craftsman, a timber door with a twenty-year heritage in R&D.  Over this time, it has been engineered to perform, with continual improvements to its stability, energy efficiency and longevity.

Future proof

The front door is on the front line when it comes to the elements and, as our climate becomes increasingly unforgiving, so must the door.  Heavy rain, ferocious wind, blazing heat – we have had it all over the last year and homeowners are understanding the need to protect their property from its impact.  Recent improvements to the tried and tested Craftsman formula include improved performance in the stability of the door, when exposed to the everyday rigours of the British weather.

Increased thermal efficiency.

Craftsman isn’t a solid timber door; it is far more sophisticated than that.  Instead, it is formed with multiple layers of composite wood, with finger-jointed stiles and rails, an example of precision engineering at its best and embracing years of experience in joinery and traditional craftsmanship.  Craftsman is available in a range of variants that can offer ever increasing thermal efficiency.

Aesthetics

Traditional style or something more contemporary? What colour and in what shade?  Glass or no glass?  The Craftsman design team have curated an extensive choice of options – 30 styles and 24 colours, to be precise.  And each style is hand crafted, using routed grooves to give the impression of tongue and groove boards, the intricate designs setting them apart from the more standardised GRP products.  So whether the property is period with a contemporary edge, a new build with a traditional feel, or anything in between, the same technical excellence and precision engineering still apply.
