CHIMNEY SWEEP Qualifications
GQA becomes awarding body for Chimney Sweep Qualifications
GQA has recently launched three new NVQ Qualifications for people in the Chimney Sweeping industry. It might seem like an ancient industry to many people, but you’d be surprised at how many people still work in the industry, and how many people still call on their services, especially those with wood burning stoves.
It just shows how many diverse industries there are, and how in all of them people can undertake training and qualifications to develop and raise their skills.
GQA Qualifications Limited is an Awarding Body for specialist sectors and occupational roles. Our current qualifications cover the Glass and Fenestration Industries, Construction, The Chimney Sweep Industry, Coating and Print.
Our aim is to work only with industries where we have access to knowledge within GQA, giving us a real ability to discuss specific qualifications with both centres and employers.
Qualification development is carried out in accordance with regulatory and Sector Skill Council requirements, using industry experts throughout the development and consultation processes.
